The local rural elementary schools are in desperate need of school supplies, crayons, glue markers, paper, etc. Especially lacking are children’s books in Spanish. Any donations would be gladly accepted! Bring down whatever you can. An elementary school is a 5 minute walk from the house and you can drop in and observe.

Sponsoring a high school student: Would you like to change a life? Sponsor a student who is at risk of dropping out due to financial reasons. Break the cycle of poverty. Wilson Botanical Garden land acquisition program. The Garden is raising funds to acquire land to connect the Garden to La Amistad park which sits on the border of Costa Rica and Panama. Currently, the biodiversity of the Gardens is threatened by the encroachment of farms and/or developments. Your help is needed now to preserve this precious environment for current and future generations. A group of us were able to purchase land to donate to the Gardens but more help is needed.
